Snowfall warning in effect for:
Fraser Valley - central including Chilliwack
Fraser Valley - east including Hope
Fraser Valley - west including Abbotsford
Snowfall with total amounts of 5 to 10 cm is expected.
5 to 10 cm of snow is expected for Metro Vancouver, the Fraser Valley and the Sunshine Coast on Friday.
A frontal system will bring snow to the South Coast on Friday. The snow will begin early Friday morning and could be mixed with rain at times. The snow will intensify in the morning before tapering off in the afternoon. Snowfall amounts of 5 to 10 cm are expected by Friday evening.
Rapidly accumulating snow could make travel difficult over some locations. Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow.

Fraser Valley - west including Abbotsford
Strong winds that may cause damage are expected or occurring.
A cold airmass surging through the Fraser Valley this morning will generate strong outflow winds with gusts to 90 km/h starting later this morning. The plume of wind will extend from the Chilliwack and Abbotsford area, through southern Langley and across the Strait of Georgia to affect the southernmost Gulf Islands and Greater Victoria.
Winds will diminish slightly by this afternoon but will remain brisk through Tuesday morning.
Damage to buildings, such as to roof shingles and windows, may occur. High winds may toss loose objects or cause tree branches to break.

Strong winds that may cause damage are expected or occurring.
A cold airmass surging through the Fraser Valley this morning will generate strong outflow winds with gusts to 90 km/h starting later this morning. The plume of wind will extend from the Chilliwack and Abbotsford area, through southern Langley and across the Strait of Georgia to affect the southernmost Gulf Islands and Greater Victoria.
Winds will diminish slightly by this afternoon but will remain brisk through Tuesday morning.

Rainfall warning in effect for:
Metro Vancouver - northeast including Coquitlam and Maple Ridge
Metro Vancouver - southeast including Surrey and Langley
North Shore - including West Vancouver and North Vancouver
Rain, at times heavy, is expected.
A Pacific cold front will move across the Lower Mainland tonight. As it approaches, rain will re-develop later this afternoon or early this evening. A strong southerly flow will accompany the front, directing abundant moisture over northern and eastern sections of Metro Vancouver, and the northwestern portion of the Fraser Valley. Rainfall amounts near 50 mm are expected tonight.
The rain will taper to showers overnight as the front moves inland. Sunday will remain unsettled with showers and a risk of thunderstorms.
Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads.

Rainfall warning in effect for:
West Vancouver Island
Rain, at times heavy, continues.
A strong Pacific frontal system over northern Vancouver Island will remain nearly stationary tonight then shift southward on Wednesday. This storm is forecast to bring widespread heavy rainfall to the west coast of Vancouver Island. For Tofino and communities further north such as Zeballos and Tahsis, heavy rain is expected to continue tonight. As the front begins to move southward early Wednesday, heavy rain will start to impact communities south of Tofino.
Total rainfall amounts in the range of 100 to 150 mm can be expected for this event.
Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads. If visibility is reduced while driving, slow down, watch for tail lights ahead and be prepared to stop.
