BCStorms hosting upgrade
Hi everyone,
As you know, the website has been struggling, especially during the biggest weather events of the season, which is either a large wind storm, rain storm, snow storm or heat wave. I am looking into getting an AWS Lightsail server setup. They have a light server for $5 USD/month and a managed database server for $15 USD/month. I think we can get them for 90 days for free. I'm wondering how many would want to contribute? It would be roughly $30 Canadian/month or around $360 Canadian per year. The first step will be to figure out how many wants/can contribute and then we can communicate what you want to contribute so I can figure out what would be needed to run the site per year. I currently setup a Lightsail Server for a different project. The only thing missing from Lightsail would be a mail server which would be needed for password resets. I will need to figure out what to do about that.
If/once we figure out an action plan for funding, I will need to figure out what we want to do about bringing the data over.

Stuffed boxers
Do we get a shiny new logo as well with the new site?
It's a light spring jacket day in the central valley it's currently 9.2c and cloudy skies with sun breaks.

I agree with others in a quarterly or annual contribution. Count me in if enough people step forward.

Re: BCStorms hosting upgrade
I'm willing to contribute $100 per year. If 10 people are all willing to do the same then we can bring that total down to $36 each a year. Is 10 contributors of $36each a possibility? Seems like a no-brainer to me come on people step up it's $36 I'm sure you could save that somewhere throughout the year to have a nicer forum especially all the regulars.
