Fall and Winter 2024/25: Storms, cold, and snow? Let's prepare and hope for an epic season!

Post by AbbyJr »

It may still be August but fall and winter is fast approaching. What will it bring? I'm going with a wet and stormy fall with the DJF period being dominated by modified arctic air and low elevation snow chances. Possibly similar to 2016/17. While there were no classic arctic intrusions, the cold and snow cover was prolonged with numerous Fraser outflow events throughout the winter. Then of course we had the big snows in early February. Lock it in! :D :flakey:

I'll take it Tsnowy minus the horrible ice storm of February 2017.

To be more realistic, you’ll see shades of November 2006, a December 2022/2021 mashup, a quick little January 2024 repeat, a modest Feb 2017/2023 mashup, ending off with march 1950.
