Got my eyes peeled on the long range but there haven't really been any teasers yet.

Yup I've said this before you are correct.

There's no need to throw it away we are just reporting what we are seeing, Looks pretty standard for our type of weather so good chance it verifies.

Long range models appear to depict colder values up near Hudson Bay and Nunavut in the 15-20 day range but temps are running 10-15C above normal near the poles.

I sound like an alarmist but the facts speak for themselves.

I tend to think one shouldn't go back that far as we are in a totally different climate. UHI indexes are more expansive but global climate shifts should be taken into account.
Yeah I don't think we should go back that far either, This climate is different and warmer now and that's honestly just facts. You can see our winters now compared to then.

In Pemberton we've had an unusually snowy end to fall and start to winter. Three considerably snow events before mid-November in the Valley bottom. So far La Nina is delivering.

Snow at a mere 200m elevation?? Lillooet is a hop, skip and jump away at about the same elevation, and too warm for snow there.

Yes IceMan..you must have seen a decent amount of snow this last 30 days as well inda hood. Crazy start for sure > the snow i have seen in the Similkameen likely surpasses Pembertons totals. Definitely a great start to places inland and with elevation for sure. Score for us "travellers"

It's likely i've already seen more snowfall this year in the Similkameen than we will see on the coast all winter. And this is all by Nov 17th! Wow. :sorry:

Wow that is crazy ! Imagine a place that is cold and gets snow expecting to see more snow then a place by the water that usually doesn't see much. Insane to say the least
