Re: February 2019 Forecasts and Discussions
Another messy mix? Sorry, but it seems kinda pointless.
The prospect of a record cold February interests me more at this point, but I'm not sure if that's still on the table. It looks like we will average below freezing for the month, which is pretty impressive in and of itself. We seem to be unable to manage that in December or January these days, let alone February.

Re: February 2019 Forecasts and Discussions
Yeah, I'm ready for spring. The snow was nice as a novelty but is wearing out its welcome. Especially these slushy events. I might be up for one last round this Friday but then I'm cheering for 14+C and sunny

You're still well behind the underdog(me), your team needs a good pep talk to pull it off.

Re: February 2019 Forecasts and Discussions
Yea Friday's system has strong southerly flow ahead of the main band of precip, so it'll be another marginal setup. Models seem to be dialing in on the big undercutting next week and it's directed well to our south. Leaving us cool and dry.Abby_wx wrote: ↑Wed Feb 20, 2019 10:23 am Another messy mix? How did people do for snowfall yesterday. I was out last night and missed like 50 pages of posts and don't have time to go thru them all.

Re: February 2019 Forecasts and Discussions
It seems like anywhere from a trace to 5 cm, but most places had around 2 cm on average. I think New West was the biggest winner, along with Langley and parts of Chilliwack.Monty wrote: ↑Wed Feb 20, 2019 10:43 am Yea Friday's system has strong southerly flow ahead of the main band of precip, so it'll be another marginal setup. Yuck. That's disappointing. My sister lives in New West and I told her it was going to snow, so at least she probably thinks I'm smart.

My feeling is, will have a big dump of snow early to middle next week and that will be the end of a cold streak
