I don't believe any station in the Lower Mainland (I.e. Metro Vancouver + Fraser Valley) has ever recorded a 30c+ temp after October 1st, but I may be wrong.stuffradio wrote: ↑Mon Sep 09, 2024 2:10 pm It's actually possible to reach close to 30C even around Thanksgiving. After that is usually when those odds go much lower though.
On the topic of late season heatwaves...

Actually was it 2 years ago when we had that dry spell through the first part of October my friend took a picture of a temperature read out in the central valley that read 29c or 30c l'm not sure how accurate that was the first week of October.

If it’s a database problem, and you are running MySQL, consider cutting over to MariaDB. It’s a fork of MySQL that aims to be 100% MySQL compatible. I did so for a Wordpress site and MariaDB has so far been rock-solid.stuffradio wrote: ↑Tue Sep 10, 2024 6:25 am I've been having email problems since yesterday with this host as well.

I use the same host for everything. I'm not sure that if it's a database problem but it's definitely a shared host problem. Hopefully I will be able to get enough income to upgrade hosting for myself which in turn would allow me to port this site over to a better host. I'm paid until April 2025. I use this host for my personal email hosting and everything.Rubus_Leucodermis wrote: ↑Tue Sep 10, 2024 10:11 am If it’s a database problem, and you are running MySQL, consider cutting over to MariaDB. I've actually seen a couple articles in the news in Europe that are talking about 'the winter of the century' coming this winter with temperatures far below normal due to decreased solar activity....not sure what to think of this?

Re: September 2024 Forecasts And Discussions
it just doesnt seem like the year any late heat will happen. Mixed bag most of the summer with temps struggling to surpass 35c this year in Abby. Meh. Bring on the autumn rains.
Side note: Chanterelles are early this year
January 2025 incoming..looks like more Pineapples..Happy New Year!
