Re: November 2023 Forecasts And Discussions
Rainfall totals a bit meh so far. Storm total not even an inch in port coquitlam. There is a chance of thunderstorms in the unstable post frontal zone although these usually tend to hit western Washington and not us. Too much subsidence in a sw flow over our region to give us much in the way of thunderstorms in this pattern so expectations are low.

I was in Maple Ridge earlier and heard some distance thunder. There was a wicked shelf cloud with those storms. Conditions are very ripe for these today.Coquitlam79 wrote: ↑Sat Nov 04, 2023 10:07 am Rainfall totals a bit meh so far. Storm total not even an inch in port coquitlam. I don't mind this the whole winter, the only way I can get at least one hand on the Over the Hill Winter Classic trophy is by battling you to a 0-0 draw.

Re: November 2023 Forecasts And Discussions
Have a few major downpours already this afternoon, here in east Abbotsford. I wish I had a gauge, but these were not trivial showers...
Anyone around east abbotsford with a station (rain gauge) catch rough amounts?

Re: November 2023 Forecasts And Discussions
Wow, 18c in 1980 is insane for end of December.
Interestingly enough, that's the year we went to Europe for Christmas (I was in southern West Germany at the time) - weather was cold and snowy the entire Christmas holidays, we went tobogganing, and something like 20-30cm of snow throughout that week. It seems their weather is always opposite of what it's doing here
