Yup. It's one heat wave after another. At least today is significantly cooler.

This heatwave was super short so I'm ok with it. Yesterday was the only truly sweaty day. Feels amazing out here right now!

I don’t feel like we have had so many heatwaves but it’s just been very dry

The radar really looks like it does in winter where you see huge bands of precip on the radar, but nothing reaches the ground.

So frustrating.

True, July was quite mild until the last few days.

Just got a few raindrops. Hopefully won't see anything measurable until after midnight to keep the dry July intact. After midnight it can pour.

Just had a few raindrops, stuck my nose out the window, yes the smell is both invigorating and relaxing, especially when the smell is mixed with marijuana,my natural impulse was to drive to 7eleven and grab a bag nacho cheese Doritos and a box of chocolate mini donuts.

My living room hasn't been this dark during mid day for a long time. Didn't these clouds come a day early?

A couple of weeks ago had a nice day of exploring the South Abbotsford/Sumas area taking some back roads from my place, 0 ave-8th ave-Vye rd etc. Ended up at McDonald Park,a nice little place by the slough to relax, fish, walk along the dyke and eat blackberries, surprised to find some ripe ones. Then drove back up the highway and had dinner at the Cactus club, a little noise but nice view.
My question to you and Jr and whoever else lives in Abby is have you ever been to Banter Ice cream? Went there afterwards on my son's recommendation and was blown away, probably the best hard ice cream I've ever had, with some unique flavours, the earl grey was absolutely delightful.

McDonald Park! I haven't been there in many years. I used to go there to star gaze.

I haven't tried Banter Ice Cream before. Might have to now.

Oh here.. http://madmikespoutinerie.ca/

Hey Hound, had some last week, stuck to the original to compare to others, bottom line nothing special, very ordinary and a big rip off. I spent over $13 for a small, if you haven't been already don't waste your time and money, you're better off with Fishin' Chips- 2 blocks down ,good daily specials.

Golfed at Guildford yesterday afternoon, crazy spike in temperature as I travelled the fairly short distance, 26°- 33° , for a second there I thought the car thermometer was broken until I stuck my arm out the window.

Very hot day across the southern interior today. Traveled along the crowsnest highway and smoke was once again worst in the valleys and mainly clear above 1,000m or so.

Castlegar-Trail valley (1st pic) probably had the worst smoke I've seen so far on my trip with fairly similar conditions seen on the Spences bridge-Ashcroft corridor eight days ago, where it was thick to the point like fog and lowering surface temperatures.

Still quite a bit of smoke in Rock Creek (2nd pic) but not nearly as thick at the surface so extreme heat was more of a concern. Keremeos-Princeton (3rd pic) it seems to be thick both at the surface and aloft.
