Yes but he admitted this morning that he was mistaken and that he would consider the ECMWF solutions more in the future.

While I don't always agree with his predictions, he does a good job and I don't think he intends to overhype weather events.

For example, he did an excellent job with his forecast for the July heatwave. So much so, that Meteorologist Tyler Hamilton with "The Weather Network" congratulated him.

Personally, I highly respect his weather enthusiasm and dedication to learning.

Yep.

From the hourly obs, looks like the snow began falling in the afternoon and eventually turned to rain early the following morning. 10-20cm fell across the region.

The preceding arctic blast was certainly more significant than the snowfall.

18z GFS has some "favorable" blocking in place way in the extended.

Cold air building over Northern/Central BC.

Don’t worry… the rug hasn’t even been rolled out yet. It’s still in storage.

Cold air arrives in Vancouver and I go out of town. I will be a little choked if it is a winter paradise in Vancouver while I am in a summer paradise (Mexico).
Why not try cycling to work, grocery store, anywhere!
