Re: January 2022 Forecasts and Discussions
00Z GFS continues to show a major widespread snowstorm Wednesday night. I'm skeptical it will verify at the modelled intensity, but even half the totals shown would be nice. In a setup like this, everybody would get heavy snow.

It also looks like it develops that little slider a bit more on Tuesday night, which could prove interesting.AbbyJr wrote: ↑Sun Jan 02, 2022 8:09 pm 00Z GFS continues to show a major widespread snowstorm Wednesday night. The goofus is incredibly intent on putting us briefly in the freezer after that overrunning event.

That Wednesday night thing is looking great. Icon was even stronger with the pull of cold from the interior ahead of the precip. That storm is looking like a widespread 15-35cm right now.

Re: January 2022 Forecasts and Discussions
I don't know l'm kinda skeptical at this time, arctic air continues to be eroded from the south coast Hope has freezing rain now.
The central valley had some earlier this afternoon l don't see our winds going NE this week, if anything slushfest at best
Thoughts El Neety oh never mind wrong person to ask.
The 7th annual snowfall contest is canceled due to no snow this winter.

Re: January 2022 Forecasts and Discussions
GFS hasn’t produced accurate results in how long on totals with terrain bleed? Usually Euro and NAM are better.AbbyJr wrote: ↑Sun Jan 02, 2022 8:09 pm 00Z GFS continues to show a major widespread snowstorm Wednesday night.
