Holy fack. That might be worse than we've seen it in previous years.

It may not verify. Let's all all hope it doesn't. I'd rather have the heat than historically horrible air quality.

Oh my god, 1797 in that one spot??!! That can't be right. Could that not be enough to cause smoke inhalation and death?

Re: August 2021 Forecasts And Discussions
Forecast seems to be getting worse by the hour. It's certainly going to get worse. Last night looked pretty marginal for smoke and now...we are potentially looking at 3 days of this.

Re: August 2021 Forecasts And Discussions
I think July 2015 was probably the worst we've seen in recent history (at least at ground level).

No, 3 days with a slight reprieve followed by however long the next ridge lasts. Welcome to the rest of summer.wetcoast91 wrote: ↑Thu Aug 12, 2021 1:33 pm Forecast seems to be getting worse by the hour. It's certainly going to get worse. I’d guess the fires in the canyon or the Coq. They look pretty active with smoke streaming right into the lower Fraser valley.

That gets entrenched. Does the trough Sunday into Monday even clear this gunk out?

Re: August 2021 Forecasts And Discussions
It does lighten up ever so slightly at the end of the run, but these forecasts have been progressively getting worse, so that's a good point.wetcoast91 wrote: ↑Thu Aug 12, 2021 1:50 pm That gets entrenched. Does the trough Sunday into Monday even clear this gunk out?
