Those AR Pineapple expresses suck big time. I want to choke them off and aim them at California. Couldn't we drop some hydrogen bombs on the pacific ocean to screw up the flow?

Interesting. EC is so messed up. They say what the highs were here, but then the data changes. You'd think that the updated data would be higher as was the case for YXX, but nope, Kamloop's high changed from -2.1 to -2.4.

Surprisingly similar to the gfs with a big ridge building into Alaska. Possibly a trend? #1985.

Cypress making snow like crazy yesterday. I am guessing that the 12z comes true.

I hope all that snow they're making doesn't end up getting washed away. That would be quite a waste of effort.
It always snows in December in the Kootenays

ECMWF weeklies. More amplified blocking...remains to be seen if it would be favorable.
You can see the models toying with a typical la nina pattern.
My guess is arctic hammer drops out East in the next few weeks with insane west coast ridging. Would set up the west for a chilly/cold late Nov and Dec.
Oh and this.

I’ve seen that “superblend†anomaly map before. What I want to know is: what is the meaning of those shades of color? Expected degree of the anomaly? Probability of it? Something else? My guess would be probability, but that’s just a guess.wetcoast91 wrote: ↑Tue Oct 27, 2020 1:17 pm Oh and this.

It's called clown range for a reason.

We've seen that anomaly map already. I was the one who actually pointed out to him today he was (originally) using a snowfall anomaly map from last year, and then I sent him that image saying that was the one he should be using for this winter. The second picture in that tweet suggests we are well overdue for well above average snowfall this winter.

Re: October 2020 Forecasts and Discussions
No kidding...I don't really see the point of already making snow this early. Snowpack doesn't usually set up until late November but maybe they know something we don't?
