This is why I hate West Coast winters. You wait all year for possibly one cold snap, and maybe one day of snow, and that's our winter. Lol we are crazy people

Side note: A white Christmas in Toronto was a beautiful sight.

Hopefully we see our turn soon

Such a sad winter lol. Basically no snow at sea level so far..no low snow levels either..basically no snowpack at 1000m as of Dec 26..models show mild/seasonal for the next ~2weeks...on and on.
La Nina they said..expect a colder and snowy winter they said..
And here it is..December 2024 all snow geeks have been waiting for :silent: ..with the LR weather "charts" calling for a cold and snowy month. Where's the troffing? :silent: :silent:

Yeah, very funny. 100% wrong. Never trust seasonal forecasts.

January went from looking ridgy to now looking again mild and potentially very wet. It's time to accept the fact that the aleutian low is not going anywhere over the next few months.
Going to have to wait till end of Jan or Feb to see if we can somehow get any decent winter weather around here.

I still blame you Neetz!

Extended GEFS looks better for later in January... but it also looked like this for the beginning.

Really hoping for a Jan-Feb 2016. :wish:
The Northern Hemisphere is devoid of any serious cold.
