AbbyJr wrote: Sun Jan 02, 2022 5:44 pm The Abbotsford airport recorded a high of 6.1C today. However, I only made it as high as 1.4C. My area must have been sheltered from the SE winds. Still strange but not surprising. I used to work down by the airport and I've seen many times where it was super windy at the airport and calm with perhaps a light breeze where I live. Microclimates.

It's currently 1.0C here.
Says 8 at airport and 2 and my house. Airport is about 2km away.

Hrrr seems to be really hit and miss. Maybe it’s good on the mainland but not on the island. Maybe it doesn’t handle the terrain and ocean interaction as well over here.

Snow has mostly melted in South Delta already except for fully shaded areas and snowpiles. Warmed up around 10:00 last night and the wind since then and the heavy rain tonight has taken its toll on the snowpack

The facts are none of the models are perfect. The issue I see is the snow lovers can cherry pick the cold bias ones and the heat mizers
can pick models and runs that trend that way. Don't see the point of people just sniping at other peoples views, but to each their own.

Looks like mostly cold rain showers tomorrow on the 00z 3km NAM. Some snowflakes could mix in with the heavier showers between 8am and 2pm.
