Like Snow Wiz in reverse. Everything is a hidden rain signal.
It's called clown range for a reason.

Getting pretty annoying IMO. Show up at any other time of year to talk weather otherwise I get suspicious that we have people here who don't like when others experience optimism.

Also this Monday/Tuesday may be highly marginal but Wednesday/Thursday as of now is pretty solid. There's no reason yet to question whether it will produce relatively high snow accumulations. That's just the best facts we have right now.

The Abbotsford airport recorded a high of 6.1C today. However, I only made it as high as 1.4C. My area must have been sheltered from the SE winds. Still strange but not surprising. I used to work down by the airport and I've seen many times where it was super windy at the airport and calm with perhaps a light breeze where I live. Microclimates.

It's currently 1.0C here.

Wind has broken through here. Up to 3.5°C. It’s gonna melt fast so long as this keeps up.

The NWS uses the NBM as one of their primary forecast tools. If it is good enough for actual pro Mets, it is probably a good model.

I'd believe it. Watching an area in SW Washington right now as you can see a notable hook in the radar.

Smoothing out the biases of individual models seems good to me :dunno:
