March is too easy. The jinx was broken when you moved to BC. Try April instead..thats a tough oneRubus_Leucodermis wrote: ↑Sat Mar 02, 2024 5:07 am Just measured 1 cm. Seems to be tapering off but jinx fully broken!
Langley didnt escape either with .3cm of snowfall

Another 5 or 6 cm picked up here early this morning.
Burnaby Mountain @ 365 m..
Stats? Fresh out of those. But I win anyway. I got all the inches.

Re: March 2024 Forecasts and Discussions
April is the next jinxed month to work on. Same story as March. Every place I’ve lived in OR, WA, and BC has received measurable snow in April in the last 30 years, but never when I was there.
But not as annoying as the March jinx because it is nowhere near as egregious. Really got old seeing pics of places way south of me scoring most every March while I got bupkis. Then move north and the old place starts scoring and the new place stops. Last year was the straw that broke the camel’s back because the overall pattern was so favourable in early March yet same old story.
But first hopefully the current pattern delivers more in the next few days.
It's called clown range for a reason.

Euro would appear to disagree.
As does the NAM 3km (probably with more realistic snow amounts):

Re: March 2024 Forecasts and Discussions
New West hills usually do ok for snow in marginal set ups..why do you get rain so often?

Re: March 2024 Forecasts and Discussions
I woke up this morning and I had a smattering of slush on the ground. Some snow on the window and some patches of snow on the ground.
Edit: Look at this... 18C!
