Downside is the local ski hills are going to see some melt with periodic slushy or wet snow. No powder the next 10 days.

You really are the most depressing person! Have you considered volunteering for a crisis line? That really would be something;
" Hello, crisis line"
"Hi, I'm in a terrible way. It feels like there's no hope and I want to end it all"
" Well, there is no hope and everything is sh*tty forever and ever. In fact, I wouldn't even have bothered calling.

Potentially dry and mild weather in the extended outlook is depressing? It beats EC's forecast.

You heard it here first, after looking at all the things I look at there will be no significant arctic outbreaks this winter.

Don't let him get to you. The sad truth of it all is he's right more than he's wrong. But he's been wrong before and will be again.

Each to their own. I'd rather have stormy weather in the winter. Save the dry and mild weather for the spring and summer. :thumbup:

If you tend to predict mild, rainy winter weather, in this climate, odds favor you being correct.
It's called clown range for a reason.

The trend is our friend here. EPS is indicating positive heights along the coast. My bet is we will see an extended period of dirty ridging when that AK vortex shifts westward.

Could get very mild and dry by the following weekend.
