Definitely feels like summer is on its last legs this year for some reason. Seeing lots of trees with colour already on the north shore.
The 00z GFS showing a spectacular 2 week period, getting drier with every run and showing pretty much totally dry for almost 2 weeks for South coast. Next weekend looked like a washout in previous runs, now it looks like a mini heat wave! Warm and even some heat in the Interior toward the 20th-26th. I have a feeling we will have an Indian summer this year. A dry September is overdue.

I'm ready for fall/winter, but I'm also glad those who enjoy summer are getting a nice break. Something for everyone.

Yeah I am trying to enjoy this last bit of summer before the days get shorter (even if the weather is nice).

That said, I am looking forward to this coming winter. First real La Niña in a while. I hope it doesn't disappoint!
It always snows in December in the Kootenays

I agree, It's nice having warm weather in September but it's just not the same when the days are shorter, At least to me. I prefer longer days and you can already see them getting shorter.

As for the winter, I actually have a good feeling going into this one compared to previous years.

It may be your real first chance in quite some time. So far it's still looking good.

The Perseid Meteors peak tonight/tomorrow morning behind the cloudy sky. I hope it clears up tomorrow night.

Edit: Cleared up nicely tonight. Hope tomorrow night is the same.
