Welp, looks like the heat is GONE from next weekend.
What a shitshow.
What a shitshow.
It always snows in December in the Kootenays

This is looking more and more like a June 2011/2012 repeat.

Re: June 2020 Forecasts and Discussions
Question for weather folks. Does anyone know where I can find historical June average temperatures for, let's say Whatcom County/Bellingham? I see the BC ones on the links pages but haven't seen similar for the US.

Re: June 2020 Forecasts and Discussions
You're including the whole month of June! The average high for the current date is 19 according to EC. This is not even in the realm of extreme cold anomalies. Dont forget last year's "year without a summer" that ended up as the 10th warmest.
Look, I get grumbling about the weather, I do it all the time. But no need to stretch the truth here. We know it's been a soggy June, the heat is coming, relax! Its like saying winter is over on December 15th because we haven't had a snowstorm.

Re: June 2020 Forecasts and Discussions
Atmosphere destabilizing a bit this afternoon... wouldn't be surprised to see thunder, although EC and NWS both say no.

Last summer may not have been chilly but the persistent clouds and showers in the first half really put a damper on things. We never actually ended up going 2 weeks without precip thru the entire season which is pretty rare for these parts where 4-6 week dry spells are a hallmark of a typical summer.
