Hmm. Winter busts hard with a long cold spring incoming. Covid third wave coming in strong. Canucks likely to miss playoffs. Lots to look forward to here.

Get ready for lots of SLUSH in March and April... maybe we'll even see some in early May like in 2002?

During the last few months of the old site didn't someone start emulating El Nito and post all these previous posts from him.

This morning on my drive to South Surrey it was actually snowing in Cloverdale with mixed rain snow from Cloverdale to South Surrey.

Just got home and the temp is 1.3 with DP: 0

Not sure how temps were all day here or if there was any flurries or even if temps have been dropping. Looks like we were close again, but mother nature gave us the middle finger.

Rarely rant but the next few weeks look darn miserable. Chilly and perpetually damp. No dynamic troughing, no ridging, no extreme cold, no early season spring warm spell. This will be your standard +7 to +3 temp spread weather with chilly rain and drizzle. I think this was a given after the mild Dec-Jan. The one saving grace is a large snowpack to reduce forest fires and droughts.

The most interesting thing on the models was this:
