Glad I was able to stay in Banff as many times as I did in the past... not sure how viable that'll be in the future given how busy and expensive it's gotten to stay in town. Even Canmore is like a mini-Banff now.
Yep, Lake Louise is a gong show after 7am. Last time I passed through in 2019, got there at 8am and there was absolutely no parking available at all. Whereas even just a decade before you'd be able to easily get parking up there at that time. Also done the hike up from there to the tea house at Agnes Lake a couple of times before... that's a good one for sure.
Any idea why sudden spike and interest in hiking in the last 10 years or so? I mean it's understandable with all the mountainous beauty we have here in BC and Jasper/Banff area. I'm sure local hiking trails of gotten alot busier like Quarry rock in Deep Cove , but was quite surprised when I saw on news a few years ago at all the people going to Jofree lakes trail near Pemberton and having to park on the highway. When I discovered the area in mid 80's I hardly saw anybody there.

Princeton has the lowest dewpoint in the province. Feels like 34 when it's actually 36. By contrast, Agassiz feels like 44 when it's only 34.

The end is near, friends. We just have to get through this weekend. Looks like a surge of marine cloud on Monday morning leading to cooler afternoon highs.
