Yeah, NFLD climate is super harsh... that's kinda why I chose NS specifically. I feel it's more of a happy medium.

Flurries here now! Definately feels cold enough to snow and probably will since I am headed to city today!

Had 5 white flakes/pellets/sleet fall at about 10:00 now back to no precip despite what the radar is saying...bring on the snow!

some parts can be but generally no; in Vancouver proper the base of Oak St is usually closed in snowy weather, I suspect there are other localized closures as well.

It depends if you’re talking about the city itself or the greater Vancouver region in general. Some areas are very hilly. SFU and Burnaby Mtn go up well over 1000ft. And some populated areas along the north shore mountains are over 1500ft.
