I still have snow on the ground.
It’s spring-ish?

Yup..this time of year most snowfalls either are Slushfestivals, or turn into them within a day or two. Cold air is difficult enough to get in here(Case in point this winter), never mind hoping its going to happen in mid Feb or later.

I don’t mind slushfests when it’s unexpected. At least it’s flakes falling in the sky and it gives hope it MIGHT switch to all snow and give a few surprise cm. I remember a lot of them in Aldergrove during the 90s. Usually when nowhere else got it.

Looking increasingly dire for sure. Hopefully we can get a good spring in here. Need variability...a little sun, a little rain, a little bit of in between. Some nice troughs with thunderstorms? (Yeah right ) I'll even take a rainbow. Like in December 2018 I think it was where my weather highlight of the month was a rainbow.

I think some of us might overrate exciting weather. Yes more snow would be awesome. But getting put in -30 deep freezes is really not that fun. The snow they get on the prairies is just like 2 cms of way too dry powder, no hills to sled on, can't make anything out of it. And hurricanes, tornadoes, extreme heat waves and crazy lightning storms and so on are not that fun for some. I still like our climate sometimes, it just sucks how we've lost that ability to get more consistent 50+ cm winters. Otherwise I'll take the somewhat temperate summers and even though its not exactly weather related, incredible sunsets over Vancouver island.

Nice read Mr. Kells, although abit realistic l'll take my chances on the fried coast as far as better dynamics in play for decent snowfalls compared to the prairies 2cm dust fall. Although were better off moving to the Atlantic coast where the ingredients are much better for a snowstorm or 2 every winter.

I’m never really in favour of torching but March and April would be the months I would be most ok with it. Warm days with decently chilly nights. You could throw October in there too.

I think most people on here would love Nova Scotia's climate. Colder winters with plenty of snow combined with moderate summers very similar to the Lower Mainland. More precipitation in the summer, meaning rarely any drought-like conditions like we sometimes experience in BC. Almost zero tornadoes, but plenty of storms and even the occasional hurricane (but not devastating hurricanes like the southeast US).
