I'd say Feb 23, 2018. Before that, Feb 26, 2011. And before that, Nov 25, 2010.

So essentially, only three in one decade.

Last I looked, Tuesday night through Thursday morning was the really interesting period. Tuesday morning looked melty to me, so not a surprise.
It's called clown range for a reason.

If I remember 2018 was not huge snowfalls in most of the LM. 10cm or less in many areas but you are correct it was an OR event.
Thanks for looking it up.😀

I think that kind of happened last night in W Metro. Temps sitting at 1-2c throughout the entire column, in isolated areas only. The intense precip rates brought the snow level down. Right Nito? Cuz the cold air damming was coming from the N NE, so what was it damming against? a 300 foot hill? Either way it was damming! ;)
January 2025 incoming..looks like more Pineapples..Happy New Year!

Not to mention look at those dates...either very early or late season, with limited arctic to work with is my guess too. No deep arctic pool to work with. Right T3?

Those headlines were probably written yesterday or even Friday. Nobody on staff there on a Sunday or holiday. Since the change of News1130 to CityNews 1130 the quality has tanked. Abysmal corporate radio. Cutting costs at every corner. Hence why Russ was cut.

I heard that too. Maybe the city wanted them to say that so they could once again claim they were "taken by surprise".

They were decent I guess. By 21st century standards, Nov 2010, Feb 2011 and Feb 2018 were close to top tier arctic blasts based on 850mb temps.

Strange I remember early Feb 2019 being more intense than it was. I wouldve bet it ended up on this list.
