I dont really follow the models tbh..too much time wasted imo. I feel bad for the model riders in here when they provide a snowy hope, and then it all gets washed away. Plus lets face it, Nito has been winning all winter :shh:
And here it is..December 2024 all snow geeks have been waiting for :silent: ..with the LR weather "charts" calling for a cold and snowy month. Where's the troffing? :silent: :silent:

It is starting to merge with that other ridge to the NW.

The ICON only runs out to HR180.

 who knows. So much variability in the models.

l wish all the models only went as far as 240 hours it would stop all this zaniness. we should make it a rule no model posting past 240 hours. For the health of our senior members. Grumps, John and errrrr oh myself. Oh and Hawk isn't he bald and 80.

Maybe Nimbus can answer this? when you worked at E.C. was there a rule for looking at models past a certain hour?

The ridge needs to be a little farther west for it to get really cold.

Oops I meant to say the ridge is a little too far east and sometimes I don't know left from right either

00Z GFS ensembles really backs off on the cold.

Decent GOA block but no PNW troughing. I'm interested to see if the EPS tonight remains consistent or caves. :hmm: :dunno:
