Yikes... That sounds pretty scary. Glad you're okay.

The loss art of self preservation. Too many would have braced for impact.

Re: February 2021 Forecasts and Discussions
Im in West Van today and it's warmed up and all slush and wet roads at sea level but tons of snow in the British properties and upper Caulfield. Similar to Westwood plateau I'm sure. I used to live right at the top of Westwood plateau and man I remember in February 2014 I had a foot of snow at my place but down near coquitlam center just slush and less than 5 cm. That was during the Sochi Olympics I remember it well.

Ouch. Glad you’re OK and that it’s just a metaphorical “Ouch!â€Â

Welcome and thanks for posting. We always love new posters and participants in this forum. The more the merrier and the better. Lurkers do nothing, but active forum embers make this place enjoyable. Plus, we have to put up with wetcoast/Nito so the more people here to bury his posts the better! Anyway, welcome and feel free to post!jollyrogerv8 wrote: ↑Sun Feb 14, 2021 12:30 pm +1 C here between Websters Corner and Whonnock. Coming down pretty good but small flakes. Roads are bare.

Looks like heavier snow in the strait about to push in. Maybe this will stick.

Re: February 2021 Forecasts and Discussions
As for the weather:
It's been snowing here light to moderate since 7am and I have LOST more snow cover than gained. I've actually got grass patches showing now. The protected areas are still ok, but all this time the snow has fallen has done nothing! How bloody pathetic is that? Yes, Nito my area is doing bad this year. Something has changed over the last 2 years. It is unbelievable that we literally can never get the right setup for proper snow. Oh but Texas, a hot dusty sweaty Nito-fest gets a damn blizzard?
Temp: +o.1
DP: -1
Light snow.

Re: February 2021 Forecasts and Discussions
More people there have been buying the patented Nito lawn warmers in your area. These can be installed to keep your lawn snow free. I guess all the heat coming from has warmed your area up by +2C.Hound wrote: ↑Sun Feb 14, 2021 1:36 pm As for the weather:

Re: February 2021 Forecasts and Discussions
No complaints here.
Going to be a few days before I see much in the way of grass tips show.
Might as well savor it. Climo says I will have generally paltry amounts and watch you in BC score regularly soon enough.

Re: February 2021 Forecasts and Discussions
I thought if I stopped checking for a few hours I might be pleasantly surprised... didn't work.
My 3 cm from yesterday is rapidly vanishing... current temp is +1.6C.
