I think we might be looking at an after Christmas winter. mind you, longer term modes seem to be having difficulty coalescing around definite solutions.

Sure solution in the next 2 weeks is above normal heights out west. I think we see a zonal flow take hold by mid December while cold builds up in Alaska...dominos fall in early-mid January.

That progression would be more in line with an old school winter, but we'll be fighting tooth and nail with climo over the last three decades.

The east is also well overdue for a front loaded winter to be fair.
