Anyone members in this club?

We love clouds. Read our manifesto and see how we are fighting the banality of ‘blue-sky thinking’. If you agree with what we stand for, then join the society to get your very own membership certificate, badge, Cloud Selector and to start receiving your ‘Cloud a Day’.

Typical. An arctic blast in North America always starts by being modelled for the PNW and then trends east. :x

How does it go east even in a -ENSO/+QBO/SSW/Phase 7 MJO.

Thankfully there's still time for it to trend west again but if this busts, then I will be losing hope that winter here can deliver even with all the ingredients in place.

Remember the last one in the models went too far west. I think Climo might have something to say about an east blast.

Mild Fraser outflow conditions: Temp +4ËšC, DP -3ËšC. Actually favorable for snow. Which means one of the models showing Bellingham not under even so much as light gray will doubtless verify.

The grey on the WB maps usually is another kiss of death for snow around here. We either get nothing or (under rare circumstances) it overperforms.

Yup. Light gray = flakes in the air, at best.

23z HRRR and 18z HRDPS both show cold rain tonight for most of the mainland.

18z NAM looks more promising for a trace of snow though.

18z GFS looks decent too.
