I see people bringing up 2010, 2011 and 1998 as possible analogs for this summer.

June 1998 had no temperatures above 30
July 1998 had a heat wave at the end of the month with temperatures around 32-35.
36 mm of rain in July 1998
August 1998 had about 11mm of rain and max temp at 32.
This is for an Abbotsford station

I think June had about 80mm of rain.

That's okay! We've had super hot summers the last five to seven years. A summer without summer heat is welcome and overdue.

2010 the fall rains started early. Very wet at the end of August and September for the South Coast. That may be something we'll be wishing for this year if we do get a dry Spring (which by all accounts we will) and then we end up with our usual hot and dry "new normal" summer.
In 2011 summer came late, in early September!

Can we just put it all in a blender perhaps that will please most.
2011 no thanks that was the most depressing after the Nukes cup final run the riots but we did a southern Alberta/Kootenay and Okanagan vaca that summer it was fun indeed.

That sounds ok. Thanks everyone for the data. It sounds like quite a decent summer.

Ah, yes, when our city thought it was a good idea to riot, yet they wonder why we can't have good things and events. Lol.

Wasn't August/September 2010 when the central coast had devastating floods?
