It sure does but two thoughts come to mind...

It has to rain some time. And

Be careful what you wish for...

Though right now it would take a lot of rain for me to say, ok enough

Drove from Kamloops to Golden today. Entire route was shrouded in smoke, especially in the valleys. Clearest spot was Rogers Pass, but even then visibility was still relatively poor.

Took a couple pictures of the fires on the mountainside around Three Valley Gap between Sicamous and Revelstoke:

Thanks. Yeah, plenty of fires and smoke everywhere across the southern half of the province.

Here's a pic of Golden earlier this evening:

Bridge Lake.

The smoke from the flat lake fire was blowing south today so it was good up there this morning

Looked like it was a rough afternoon and evening for western sections of the southern interior. Visible satellite showed big smoke columns going up by mid afternoon on many fires. White rock lake and the fire SW of Princeton appeared to be very active. The Flat Lake fire was covered in cloud but high winds canceled the planned ignitions, and the fire did make a run at and did cross hwy 97. The section of fire east of hwy 97 has reported to been brought under control.

Wow, looks like decently good visibility up there. At least compared with the Thompson, Shuswap and Columbia regions that I passed through today. Smoke was pretty much like fog at times.

It's not a pretty sight for sure.

Headed to Calgary tomorrow and not expecting much change in conditions (i.e smoke and visibility).

I JUST missed you in Golden. I don't know if you read my posts above or not. Looking at your pic it seems like it's even WORSE than when I left yesterday.
