Rubus_Leucodermis wrote: Sat Feb 13, 2021 12:43 am Snow falling harder now, but that’s relative. Still really tiny flakes. Hard to say how much there is because of drifting. Maybe a cm?

Could end up being quite the snowstorm if it’s still as gusty when the pace picks up more.

Temp -5ËšC, DP -7ËšC.

Off to bed. See you in the morning, hopefully to report a big dumping overnight.
Let's hope so.

The one thing I hate most is going to bed and somewhat expecting a decent snowfall, only to wake up to bare ground or a trace. Happens so often on the north shore.
It always snows in December in the Kootenays

Need Sardineman to confirm he has passed out due to too many vitog's and Skooks will have to drop by and revive him. Where is Golden Bear? Must be past Gumps bedtime.

Maybe I should ban lurkers?
One last lurker update before bed! :lurk:

Starting to stick on grass and side streets in Tsawwassen. Intensity has picked up slightly but still small flakes. I hope everyone’s got at least something where they live when they wake up!

Still no flakes here. NE wind has noticeably picked up during the past few mins; I'd estimate a couple gusts were in the 30-35km/hr range.

Temp holding at -0.1c, dp -13.3c.

Yep. That’s about right. Not the heaviest snow but a nice crystalline powder that sparkles in the light. Just measured 7cm

Here's the snowflake on the SFU cam. Had to screen shot to capture it.
