I’m not trying to single you out but I find it slightly awkward when people wish for damage. Like we just had a tree come down and blast a shed to smitherines but thank god no one was standing there because we’d be organizing a funeral right now.

I get that exciting weather events inevitably cause problems but explicitly mentioning damage as the exciting part seems a bit harsh. November 2021 should have satisfied a lifetime of cravings for expensive weather repairs…Just my two cents, cheers.

Being a weather enthusiast typically leads to one preferring types of extremes, be that heat, cold, wind, snow, rain, etc. Any type of significant event will usually result in damage.

I actually addressed that. I take issue with the damage being the part to get excited about rather than an unfortunate side effect.

Like if I was to say, I can’t wait for an arctic blast for all the accidents and traffic jams for people to wait 12 hours in their car!! Or, I hope we get another AR like 2021 to shut down all the freeways and destroy farms! Where to draw the line here? That’s all I’m getting at.

My point was when one wishes to experience any weather extremes that they prefer, the result will undoubtedly lead to damage and destruction for others. I doubt anyone really wants to see people lose their lives over any weather events, but that is the unfortunate reality when we experience these things.

Way too early. Impossible for our region to experience a cold January.

February is our time to shine.

Fortunately the ECMWF says the GFS is full of it.

El Nino pattern to continue.

Then I would gently suggest not continually wording it in that way.

Ok..it was Jr., and he never specified "Damage". Damage could have been interpreted as a bunch of trees being downed in a forest outside Jr's home..with no one hurt, no one without power..etc etc. Lets try to stay positive here
