Sorry to hear that! Not sure what happened there. I do find that happens on mobile but not on desktop with being logged out on the forum. I was at the pool last night with one of my kids. We do go to playgrounds and water parks!Forrest Gump wrote: ↑Fri Jul 28, 2023 5:52 pm What stage website glitches are we in? Couldn't login 2 nights ago, maybe it was down, and still have to login even though I've never logged out.
Thanks. Hope you and the family are enjoying the summer so far. I'm sure you got your go-to playground or water park for the kiddos.

Good to note! Although with the way my father in law has built the sledding hill and is now currently crafting his perfectly flat ice rink, you’d think we already lived in the arctic let alone a decently cold climate.Forrest Gump wrote: ↑Fri Jul 28, 2023 1:50 pm Global national news report yesterday saying global warming causing havoc in the Atlantic Ocean, which in turn will cause Northern hemisphere cooling. There ya go Port Kells , time to prepare and design your dream sledding and skiing track for when that cooling hits.

Nice pics there, Typing. That area in southern Manitoba is the epitomne of a humid continental climate. Hope you're not being eaten alive by skeeters in the evening. The lack of a proper freeway through the Rockies not withstanding, it's so worth making such treks by vehicle rather than flying over it all.

Re: July 2023 Forecasts and Discussions
Thanks! Yep, the "parkland belt" -- as it's known here -- stretches northwest to southeast from Edmonton to Winnipeg roughly mirroring the hwy 16 corridor. Enough precip year round to sustain plenty of aspen groves with small clusters of evergreen trees, in comparison to the relatively barren southern prairies.Mattman wrote: ↑Sat Jul 29, 2023 10:20 am Nice pics there, Typing. The mosquitoes are a pain in the a** for sure... coupled with the blackflies.

Re: July 2023 Forecasts and Discussions
Mostly sunny and mild across south-central Manitoba and central-eastern Saskatchewan along hwy 16 between Winnipeg and Yorkton today. Afternoon temps hovered between 23c and 26c.
First picture is at the MB-SK border on hwy 16, second is entering Yorkton, and third is at the wetlands in Yorkton.

Re: July 2023 Forecasts and Discussions
No complaints at all about the summer so far. We have had a long drought period but throughout the entire event temperatures have topped out in the low 30s...only a few times
Looks like August is going to be good for the short-term at least. No extreme heat on the radar. Once mid-august hits we're on the downward slide as the nights cool off quickly
