Its winter. I'll take fake cold over no cold and the photographic opportunities are fantastic during a foggy inversion.

All bets are that this 7-10 wet spell will be followed by a dry spell. Will it be a chilly and dry one? Or will it be a fogversion? Stay tuned!
Why not what Seattle just had: highs around 15ËšC and lows above freezing?
It's called clown range for a reason.

Potential.

Need a more broad and poleward expanded GOA ridge and a west based -NAO block to kick the PV into northern BC. A SE ridge would help too.

That's what l was thinking too Arbe usually EC waters down things. We'll see the next few days chilly for the canyon though Lytton.

This script is becoming so predictable. Early season promise with these incredible cold snaps in September/October. Everybody gets excited! November teases but it gets watered down or its still too early. December hits and boom things invariably turn to crap with an immediate switch to ridging, AR and the occasional mountain snow pattern, albeit never as much as is modelled. We'll see if January continues to follow the script. Next step, massive rug pull and historic Eastern cold wave!

I'm on board with a huge ridge popping up over us. Lets get some dry weather for Christmas.

Meh. I'm getting my skis out and enjoying the mountain snow followed by Christmas ridging and back to mountain snow hopefully. That ak vortex is basically earths version of that Jupiter permanent hurricane. Trust me I'd get up there and dislodge it myself if I could.

Oh and Judah Cohen is now saying east coast blast in the new years. Not sure if he's credible or not. He seems knowledgeable.

Ensembles along with the GFS like the idea of a rex block towards late December.
