Hawk wrote: Sun Jan 24, 2021 9:18 am Nito do you think we will see one large band or multiple bands move in later today? Also, do you agree there may also be some heavy snow in some areas due to convective activity? I believe this area is in the firing line with moisture coming out of the SW. It has happened many times before.
Daylight + instability on Monday. Bubbly clouds!

Not really the best of model runs for me, though my current location does fare better than my old one on Bainbridge Island.

P.S.: And honestly, most of the Lower Mainland doesn’t look so snowy in that run, either. Even the areas shaded blue have to be taken with a grain of salt, as much of that’s likely slop-over from modeling the Coast Mountains. With model runs like that, getting all bummed out over getting no more than a few cm is a case of having unrealistic expectations.

It's called clown range for a reason.

First woke up at 7:00 found drizzle, went back to sleep. Just woke up again and it’s snowing now. Temperature dropped to 1.5c

Hope so, I need all the flakes I can find. Been snowing for a few hrs, but more intense just now, maybe I'll be able to start measuring soon.

I hope global news is wrong ,they're calling for rain and +4 this afternoon.

Since the weather on this side of town has gone over like a lead balloon, I made a bacon butty to cheer myself up.

The odd snowflake...and I spotted a bunch of ducks in my yard. That may be a sign of things to come...?
