Very very cold out east and inversion hell over the west the next 2 weeks. All this ground moisture + stagnent air = fog.

    Cariboo - south including Williams Lake

    100 Mile

    Shuswap

    South Thompson

    Fraser Canyon - north including Lillooet
    Fraser Canyon - south including Lytton
Be prepared for strong winds tonight and Friday.

A developing Pacific low pressure system is forecast to cross the central interior overnight. The associated cold front will then sweep across the southern interior on Friday reaching Washington State in the evening.

Strong southerly winds will develop ahead of the low tonight and then shift to west or northwest on Friday. Wind gusts up to 70 km/h are expected except gusts to 80 km/h or more are possible for Chilcotin, Cariboo - south including Williams Lake, 100 Mile and Fraser Canyon.

  • Southern Gulf Islands

    Fraser Valley - central including Chilliwack
    Fraser Valley - east including Hope
    Fraser Valley - west including Abbotsford

    Metro Vancouver - central including the City of Vancouver Burnaby and New Westminster
    Metro Vancouver - North Shore including West Vancouver and North Vancouver
    Metro Vancouver - northeast including Coquitlam and Maple Ridge
    Metro Vancouver - southeast including Surrey and Langley
    Metro Vancouver - southwest including Richmond and Delta
Strong northwesterly winds are expected on Friday.

A cold front over the North Coast will move southwards tonight and cross the Inner South Coast early Friday morning. Southerly winds of 30 to 60 km/h ahead of the cold front will shift to west to northwest 40 to 60 km/h behind the system with some gusts reaching 80 km/h over western sections of Metro Vancouver near the Strait of Georgia.

Winds are expected to ease early Friday evening.

We’ll see. Seems a bit early to get locked into a foggy inversion.

I wouldn't rule it out though. Remember mid October 2013? Was foggy for at least a week.

Ensembles are all over the place. Yesterday around Halloween some were showing +10, today +5. A few days ago it was -5 :lol:

Any word on how windy it will be tomorrow? EC says gusts to 80 in the western bit of the city. Too high?

Forecast is for strong NW winds tom..I bet we mostly get W winds as has happened many times in past in these forecasts. :bs:
