Mix of sun and cloud and mild gradually shifting into a mostly sunny, hot day across the Western Kootenays, especially in southern regions... was 32c in Castlegar earlier. Could smell and breathe smoke on the west side of the Selkirk Mointains along the Hwy 31a corridor, especially right along Slocan Lake in New Denver.
