Quite the disparity between the CMC and GFS ensembles.
Go CMC!

EPS also showing some ridging as we head towards Xmas. Perhaps it starts amplifying?

Canadians have always liked the Europeans over Americans anyway.
I kid, of course.

This is the run to run change in heights. It is definitely trending towards building heights into Alaska.

The latest GEFS runs are hinting at some ridging for Xmas. Still a ways to go though.

Highs of 15°C and lows of +5… no frost, sorry.
It's called clown range for a reason.

Tried to tell you guys that ENSO doesn't really matter as much in our modern climate. This Nov-Dec has held the traits or a moderate +ENSO.
We are looking at a mid Jan onwards winter this year now. My gut feeling says we won't see any "arctic" but may get a cold onshore flow.
New climate, People don't want to hear the truth. Lol I accept that hence why I'm not disappointed if this winter goes south

Wouldn't that be record breaking territory? Not seeing that potential yet. Wouldn't be too surprised though.

Gotta go into the winter season hoping for the best but expecting the worst. That way there is no disappointment.
Edit. And also gotta make sure to have a few laughs along the way.

Seattle was getting conditions like that last week, so I’d say it’s certainly within the realm of what can be expected here. Though honestly the odds favor it being a notch cooler with nighttime frost.
