Thing is there all scenarios that come to fruition unfortunately.

Wrong. 850mb will be cold enough to support snow and surface temps were -20C in Hope. Winter storm warning will be issued. First impulse of moisture will go south allowing cold dry air to seep into the LM. Could see some flurries for Southern areas before a heavier impulse of moisture arrives in the evening and brings some very heavy mixed precip before it turns to rain with strong southerly +10C winds by the morning.

Hawk will post his obs from the Similkameen and brag about seeing 50cm at his burned down cabin.

l look forward to this post come winter.

Today is the first day Cranbrook has had a high below 30C since July 8th and the first high of 27C since June 24th. Amazing stat. They are averaging 33.3C / 14.5C this month so far.

I'll be moving there next month.

Cranbrook has a great 4 season climate.

South central and southeast sections of the province have had the warmest and driest anomalies over the past couple months. Kootenay valleys have really roasted; monthly averages at Castlegar and Trail are even warmer than Cranbrook. And I believe they've also been even warmer than Kamloops and Kelowna.

Other than one day (July 7th), Castlegar has recorded highs above 30c for an entire month. Average high/low of 35.5c/14.9c so far this July.

Trail (Warfield) has been even hotter with an average high/low of 36.1c/16.4c so far this month.

So is Rossland just outside of Trail as you leave Trail you climb the hill. In 2010 is we went that route too lazy to look on a map.
We were headed to Cranbrook and then highway 3 home, with stops in Radium Hot Springs, Creston and Osoyoos before home.

Rossland looks like an amazing climate, all thanks to its elevation. Trail/Warfield are considerably warmer in all seasons though.

Hey, is this for next Tuesday or Wednesday? I need to get the snow blower down to the shop for it's annual tune up and make an appointment to get snow tires on. thanks

Models are showing some light showers on the mainland tomorrow. Not much accumulation. I’d be surprised if there was thunder. Perhaps over the mountains

High resolution NAM shows some showers across the south coast tomorrow but probably will be just some drizzle/mist that doesn't amount to anything like we saw early Saturday morning.

Thanks Typeing, you nailed it mist for about 5 minutes. The precip on Saturday totally missed me, Gibsons got a brief rain shower.

El Nutso was testing his pineapple machine, Ms. Creeker apparently it's anti snow reports works just fine. better order a pineapple helmet for the winter.
