Was discussing Sunday and Monday but ok.

Its a weather forum. Not a snow forum.

No. January 2005 screwed the south too.

The 18Z NAM appeared to have stuck to its guns. Really curious to see the RGEM

Some areas down there have gone from near 20-25" to a 7-10". Still a snowfall but paling in comparison to what was shown 3 days ago.

It’s gonna snow in Victoria. Maybe a little but maybe a lot. I’ll wait to see how the models performed with this first system before I put too much stock in anything

It’s probably been mentioned but most of the island is under a winter storm watch. You don’t see that often around here. Kiss of death 💋 💀 ?

Lotsa snow lovers here focusing on what others are getting instead of what they are.

I don't like missing out on the snow party, either, but I am preferring to focus on the weather show that's happening in my own backyard. Plus odds are our chances will come soon enough. Typical for snows to happen as it transitions to warmer conditions, and typical for Seattle to transition before we do.

One of the things I missed in Seattle was the outflow that Portland would get from the Columbia Gorge. It added a whole other aspect to their weather. Now I get my outflow with a somewhat higher average annual snowfall.
It's called clown range for a reason.

All you need are one of the following for more LM snow

1)Flatter gradients with weaker low leading to more moisture in the LM

2) 100km shift in the low trajectory

3) Secondary low formation

You don't need all 3. Just 1.

Similar to the reduction in amounts that we’ve seen imby. I
Don’t think they got much of anything in 2005.

Late Jan right? I believe there was a major sub 980mb low that was forecasted down there with 50cm of snow forecasted and 70mph winds no? That turned to only 5cm for most areas.
