Took a hike at the UBC Malcolm Knapp Research Forest this afternoon and can confirm that the late August wet spell has brought the mushrooms out.

Geesh Rubes l don't have a clue which ones are edible. I reached a high of 23c today at the pond in south Sardis.

First one pictured (Cantharellus formosus, Pacific golden chanterelle) is edible. Also saw lots of the following (Amanita gemmata), which are quite poisonous.

The 00Z RGEM has backed off on the rain totals for some areas Monday night. However, the HRDPS has increased them significantly. :think: :think: :think:

Either way, it's going to rain again. :clap: :D :thumbup: :wave: :raindrip: Here are the 6 hour totals from 6:00PM Monday to 12:00AM Saturday:

Definitely would go good with my steak dinner Rubes. Looks like one more gullywasher perhaps overnight Monday before we transition back to some decent weather by weeks end. :thumbup:

Been dry as a bone this summer, and especially this month here. Less than an inch of rain for August here.
It always snows in December in the Kootenays :clap:
