I barely got over 10 mm today. Then again, July was a lot wetter here than elsewhere.
The only thing that concerns me is that all this rain might add to the mosquito problem, which is already bad out here. When do the mosquitos normally start to die down? I'm guessing late August/early September.

It's supposed to be a bad year for mosquitoes if you live near the Fraser river due to extraordinarily high water levels which caused several year old mosquitoe eggs to hatch. Otherwise the lifespan is 7-40 days, they should die off by the end of Aug me thinks but who knows. Not much here as usual but did see quite a few of them at fort Langley a few weeks ago.

Good good...
Let's hope this is a wet August.
No thanks , probably the ideal recipe is some rain overnight and straight sunshine during the day.

Only 5.6mm of rain here yesterday. Then it was sunny and windy. If you slept in an hour or so you would have never even known it rained.

Summer is over. It's all downhill until New Years.

And it's dark out at 9 pm now...it is all downhill from here.
But then we'll get snow...lots of it too!

Well, that was short. Just like back in John's day in the 50s.
It always snows in December in the Kootenays

It's interesting how there's a big jump in max temperatures around July 5th, even when using 100 years worth of data for Kamloops...

Radar shows a precipitation shield moving in… looks like we’re in for a damp evening.

Just got back from Squamish. Drove under a really dark cloud which produced some very heavy rain. Looks like November out there.

Precipitation shield evaporating as it moves inland. Reminds me of a typical winter phenomena.
