Do you think this cold snap will finally break the January curse based on your criteria?

Nope, as I am always referring to the average temp over the month as a whole. Based on what the models are showing for the rest of the month, we will not get there this year.

On the bright side, this event has proven we can still get notable cold snaps in January, which is great to see happen outside December or February.

A cold January on the other hand is something we still have yet to experience for over 30 years running, since 1993.
