Though I will say that the Euro trending colder does lend some confidence to the chance of a mid-January cold spell.

Any chance of snow Monday morning? Precipitation with thickness of 522 on the GFS.
Why not try cycling to work, grocery store, anywhere!

Re: January 2020 Forecasts and Discussions
The thing is even if something half as good as those crazy solutions verifies, it would still be an impressive cold and snowy pattern. Not to mention, in January!Typeing3 wrote: ↑Thu Jan 02, 2020 9:34 pm Those crazy solutions definitely won't. However... I do think we'll eventually see some cold and snow sometime in the ~Jan 10 - Feb 10 timeframe. Given how putrid this month has been over the past few years, it was bound to happen at some point and it's (historically) the perfect time of year to maximize cold.

I’d guess snow levels of 500-1000ft again. Strong SW flow. I’d like to see 850s and 925 temps a degree or 2 colder for sea level snow with strong onshore flow.

Especially after a garbage non-call leads to an equalizing goal late in the third. At least we found a way to answer back and win.Sardisbcwx wrote: ↑Thu Jan 02, 2020 9:18 pm Quite the game 7-5 final crazy. whoohoo! Love it when they beat the Blackhawks.

Was that the pick on Hughes at the blue line? It's 2.6c in south Sardis stopped raining no wind at all.
The 7th annual snowfall contest is canceled due to no snow this winter.

EC issued a heavy rain warning between Nanoose and Fanny Bay. The rain promptly stopped. Typical.

Well it’s almost go time for the Euro. Looks almost identical to the Gfs at day 5. Will we see that ridge expand into Alaska. I think (hope so) the GFS has been too consistent to disregard
