So much potential with this modelled pattern with minor adjustments. Just need that cold trough to trend a bit further east and that ridge to move into the GOA. So close but remains to be seen if this happens. The GFS, which goes out further, says nope. :thumbdown:

Later in the run, the GFS breaks up the cold trough and the North Pacific Ridge falls apart.

It remains to be seen whether the Euro and GEM will follow the GFS solution in the long range.

Several days ago, once again Nito stuck his head out and said the end of this month is going to be the appetizer and the main course comes in February. So with all the uncertainty in the models, considering Nito has been almost a hundred percent right in the mid to Long range there is no reason to believe that early February will not be cold and snowy.
Tell em Nito.

00z RGEM looks fairly snowy for the lower mainland Saturday night into Sunday morning.

I don't know how many times I've seen the forecast highs of 4 C with chance of flurries or showers and we end up getting a big dump of snow.
