505 guests the last 24 hours is that correct. Hope they were all social distancing and wearing masks.

Re: March 2021 Forecasts and Discussions
I guess there may be no snow PornoMan. Looks like precip shuts off as the cold air arrives, as usual. Although GFS says some snow is possible
What does President Nito say? Cold rain?

And here it is..December 2024 all snow geeks have been waiting for ..with the LR weather "charts" calling for a cold and snowy month. Where's the troffing?

Re: March 2021 Forecasts and Discussions
Monday looks quite troffy again, with lots of instability. Maybe wake up to a wet snow shower in the hills? Or T-storms in the pm?
What you think Nito?

5c and raining today.
Been a pleasant month for March really. But pretty chilly especially on the lows. I think I’ve had something like 15 freezes.

Re: March 2021 Forecasts and Discussions
Both ECMWF and GFS still say flakes for many in the lowlands from the current system. At this point I’m expecting it to happen. I’m also expecting little to no accumulations for most. Pornoman may get lucky and see 5–10 cm.

Re: March 2021 Forecasts and Discussions
Last October I had a night where it never quieted down, wind all night, and it still froze. If it can happen that early in the season, I’d say it can happen this late in the season.Sardisbcwx wrote: ↑Sun Mar 28, 2021 6:24 am You would figure but there calling for lows of 0c for most areas on Monday morning.

Re: March 2021 Forecasts and Discussions
I’d bet the October freeze was with offshore flow. Not onshore. Either way it won’t take much to freeze if the winds die for an hour or 2 before sunriseRubus_Leucodermis wrote: ↑Sun Mar 28, 2021 10:06 am Last October I had a night where it never quieted down, wind all night, and it still froze. Re: March 2021 Forecasts and Discussions
Yes, if it’s onshore winds that are being forecast, I would not expect a freeze. I just assumed offshore because a freeze was being forecast.

Checked the Port McNeill highway cams and it looks more like rain to me.

Re: March 2021 Forecasts and Discussions
What timeframe do the models suggest possible snow?
Still am skeptical this go-around. It will clear before temps get cold enough.

Burnaby Mountain @ 365 m..

GFS says your best chance is this afternoon: And mine is later tonight: Alas for you, Euro seems to be in “screw Canada†mode again:

A lot of power outages in Langley especially in the North. Narrow corridor of strong southerlies.
