Snowfall warning for comox and CR. I’ve seen many models showing bands of heavy flurries up that way today. They will be the winners with this round

Looks like we’ll see some. Doubt it’ll be warning worthy though

I think Victoria looks good for a couple cm today. Some inflow through the strait before the next surge of outflow arrives

It should be noted that EC has softened a lot of their criteria in recent years, making it easier to trigger warnings.
Still -20C...

I guess we shall see where things go after the weekend. We still don’t know yet by the sounds of it but seems more likely it will warm by then.

Now that I said it was bone dry here, snow is picking up
I confidently predicted no snow today earlier this morning in a local Reddit group, based on models, before dawn. I now see echoes start to pop up all over the place on the Algergrove radar. So count on a widespread dusting? You’re welcome.

Looking at the radar, there’s snow showers moving SW from Chilliwack to Abbotsford, and other showers moving SE along the strait and over western parts of the greater Vancouver. Still very light and spotty, but there they are, popping up. Maybe some convergence and stronger precip where and when the two streams meet?

A new term. Called the Arctic Trickle. Will probably pay dividends for us once the moisture arrives and the trickle persists. We will likely be in the 0c snow boundary. I hope

Was just about to question whether you'd post these for going against the narrative. Proved me wrong
