Canada, USA, France, same story: large cities vote for the left (except Alberta/SK), suburbs and countrysides vote for the right.
We are not about to see a conservative government again...

Edmonton and Calgary both lean left/center. They are vastly outnumbered though by suburbs and rural.

The number of people considered to be long-term unemployed — which means they haven't had a job for at least 27 weeks in a row, or about six months — is now twice was it was before the pandemic, at 389,000 people. That 's more than a quarter of everyone without a job.

Leah Nord with the Canadian Chamber of Commerce says that's a bad sign.

"It's important to celebrate the encouraging gains we are seeing in employment numbers over the past month, yet we also cannot afford to sweep under the rug those numbers," she said. "In the midst of a mass labour shortage, 27.3 per cent of unemployed Canadians are unaccounted for. Where did they go?"

Incrreased Homelessness, people living with their parents, mental health issues. Some people are just tired of having employers doing things like giving them one fewer hour than full time to avoid benefits. Especially people working in the service industry, that industry needs to change if it wants people back.

Kyle Rittenhouse was found not guilty of all counts. I was home on covid quarantine for much of the trial, and watched a lot of the trial. Not guilty was really a no brainer when the case against him kept evaporating with each witness.

I don't know how much of it was the witnesses and how much of it was prosecution bungling the case massively, but it became readily apparent that the kid needed a lesson and not a crucifixion.

Edit: I am aware this is not how some will see it. However, some might be said to have opinions which will never change regardless of what has been presented, so...
