Re: January 2021 Forecasts and Discussions
I had a feeling the EPS would be slower with the evolution. But the PNA is shown heading further negative so I’ll take it. It’s usually the las5 to jump on board and why I’m wary of a false start with the other models.

Re: January 2021 Forecasts and Discussions
Most (if not all) of Jan is looking like a write off.
Pattern may turn favourable during the last five days of the month, but long range models seem to indicate blocking will set up too close to the coast.
Seems like its our destiny to score in Feb these days so if the GOA ridge retrogrades we could perhaps see a backdoor blast. Maybe something similar to early Feb 2014.

Re: January 2021 Forecasts and Discussions
I'm not seeing that. The trend is for the blocking to move westward. The bigger trend is Nito stopped posting about it, other than last nights drunk GEM.Typeing3 wrote: ↑Tue Jan 05, 2021 12:37 pm Most (if not all) of Jan is looking like a write off.

Pretty safe bet we are heading into a -PNA pattern after mid month.

Not to mention a neutral or slightly negative EPO. Baby steps, but it's happening.

Re: January 2021 Forecasts and Discussions
It is rather frustrating, but that seems to be the case. I'll take it over a complete write off though.

Agreed.
I think something similar to early Feb 2014 is a reasonable expectation at this point.
