Unless the showers intensify, my :drizzle: :noidea: effect snow of 1 cm won't happen , currently 4.8°

Miss Creeker, how's your 14 cm coming along? Or are you too far from sechelt.

I think for those that are hoping for the next ice age will be disappointed.

Im just hoping for a bit of cold and some decent snowfalls that stick around.

18Z GFS has around 20 cm of snow next Friday night followed by temperatures diving down to -14C. Lock it in?

Seriously, I would like to know what the heck is wrong with the GFS. Unless it verifies there has to be something bizarre going on because its been consistent in spitting out these crazy historic arctic runs. The GFS has been known for its silly outlier runs but its not normally this consistent. :dunno:

Week 3 of Jan is when the "fun" begins.

Snow levels today seem to be near 300m. Looks a bit too warm at the surface. Sutton Pass is getting nailed. Looks like it changed to rain in Port Alberni.
Thats the week beginning on the 20th?

Sorry Gump..it was never for you. Too close to the ocean..hills only. This event was so marginal for snows..even for Catnip Hill.
January 2025 incoming..looks like more Pineapples..Happy New Year!

Amazing what a little bit of elevation does for snow around here. Bby Mtn gets so much snow compared to its surrounding ocean dweller neighbours
